Ladies Connaught Club Championship.


Hard luck to the ladies team who were defeated by Clonbur of Galway in the Connaught Q/final on Sat October 5th last. The team fought hard to the very end but were beaten by a physically stronger Galway side.

Intermediates go out.


Cloone Intermediate team's championship dream was ended by a talented Kiltubrid side on Sep 29th last. Cloone were in the game right to the final whistle and fought with great heart and determination. In what was probably the best game at any grade in Leitrim this year a last minute goal saw Kiltubr Read On....

Victory all round!


September 15th 2002 will be remembered as a very successful weekend for Cloone GAA with the mens team eventually getting the better of Aughnasheelin after four games. They now face Kiltubrid in the semi-final on 29th of September at 12 o'clock in Fenagh. But the weekend belonged to the ladies footba Read On....

Good luck girls..


Best of luck to the Cloone ladies senior team in the championship final against Mohill. The girls have come very close to championship honours in recent years and hope to bring the championship back to Cloone for the first time in ten years.

Championship so far…


Cloone came through their group stages of the Leitrim Intermediate Championship undefeated with a win over Gortletteragh and two draws with Sean O'Heslins and Aughnasheelin. They are currently locked in a playoff struggle with Aughnasheelin with three games and extra time failing to provide a winner Read On....

League Update.


It was four out of four as both mens and ladies teams collected all points in their last league games ahead of the championship. The ladies defeated S. Josephs in a double header and the mens team defeated Allen Gaels.

Kelly Racing to Success.


Former club player turned professional jockey Shane Kelly is making a big name for himself in horse racing circles in the UK. The Drumbore man is currently based overseas and is performing with much success. Well done to Shane and we wish him continued success

League Campaigns.


fter a dissapointing start to the league with defeat to Kiltubrid in Divison 2, Cloone have recovered with wins over St. Callins and Aughnasheelin. The next game against Allen Gales is the last league match before the Championship. Cloone's first match this year is against Gortlettragh in Carrigalle Read On....

Trip to London.


Preliminary plans have been made for a trip to London to coincide with Leitrim Championship game in Ruislip on the weekend of 25th May. It is hoped to organise challenge games with local clubs there. New Electronic Scoreboard.


Pairc Naoimh Mhuire in Cloone is the proud new home of a new electronic scoreboard. The scoreboard which is the first of its kind in Co. Leitrim was very kindly sponsored by well known local man Harry McKeon and was manufactured by FSL in Cookstown in Co. Tyrone. The club were also deeply indebited Read On....

Our dinner dance this has been re-scheduled to take place in Clarkes Rynn Valley Hotel Mohill on Friday March 15th. Music is by 'Night Fever'..
