Annual General Meeting
Our AGM has been fixed for Sunday January 13th at 3pm. All players and members are asked to keep this date free and to attend our annual general meeting.
New Lotto Format
Saturday night December 29th. This will be our bumper Christmas draw where we will have loads of extra spot prizes to be won. Lotto Draw Winner
Our lotto draw took place on Sunday night last in McKeon's bar with a landmark jackpot of €18000. The numbers drawn were 3, 10, 17 and 24. And seven years after it was first won we had our second ever jackpot winner. The lucky winner was our own corner forward Mark Creegan. The house draw was won by Read On....
Childrens Disco night.
A Christmas disco is being ran for our underage players and youngsters in the parish on Sunday evening next from 7 to 9pm in the Community Centre. Refreshments will be provided and Leitrim Ladies All-Ireland winning captain Sinead Brennan will be there on the night with the Mary Quinn cup.

GORTLETTERAGH 0-9 Cloone 1-3
The scoreline here would suggest a close and hard fought GWP Intermediate Championship encounter but the reality was that Gortletteragh should have been out of sight if they had converted half their chances against Cloone in Pairc Sean MacDiarmada last Sunday.

CLÁR Top Up Funding Granted
Éamon Ó Cuív T.D. Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs announced that he has allocated top-up funding of to projects in CLÁR areas which were successful under the Sports Capital Programme 2007. Cloone GAA have been awarded €16,000 under the scheme.
Féile Peil na nOg 2007
Féile Peil na nÓg is a national festival of football for boys and girls under 14 years of age and is based on the GAA club unit. The event is being hostd in Leitrim this year and the Cloone Girls team is amalgamated with Gortletteragh for the competition. Our first game is at 3pm on Fri 30th at 3PM Read On....
We played Aughnasheelin in the Division 2 league on Saturday evening last in Aughnasheelin and once again the two teams served up an exciting game which finished all square at the finish. This is several times these two teams have drawn in the last number of years. Two goals either side of half time Read On....
We are in action in the shield competition on Saturday evening next at 6:30 against Gortletteragh in Gortletteragh. The following weekend we play Glenfarne/Kilty in Cloone in the division 4 league on the Sunday at 2:00.
Cloone got their first points of the Shield Competition on Sunday 20th with a hard fought win over Dromahaire. Both sides were in front at various stages of the game with Cloone running out 1-10 to 0-11 winners at the final whistle.
Division 2 League Update.
We opened our league campaign on Fri, 20-April-07 with a disappointing home defeat to Aughavas. Missed chances proved our downfall as Aughavas ran out 1-09 to 0-10 winners. In our second game we were comprehensively defeated by Gortletteragh on a scoreline of Gortletteragh 4-13 Cloone 1-06. Amends w Read On....
Lotto Funding Provisionally Approved.
Cloone have again been successful in our appliication for Sports Capital Funding from the National Lottery. Cloone have been awarded €80,000 toward the construction of a general purpose room and extended press facilities. It is also envisaged that we will receive an extra €16,000 under CLÁR funding Read On....
Defeat in Senior League Final
Cloone ladies were defeated by old rival Aughawillian in the Senior League Final recently. A stronger Aughawillan side ran out 3-13 to 1-06 winners in an entertaining game in Fenagh.
Championship Draws 2007
The draws for the 2007 Intermediate football championship took place last night in The Bush Hotel. Cloone were the first team out of the drum placing them in group A. Leitrim V Offaly
FROM the dizzy heights of floodlit Croke Park and a crowd of around 82,000 it was back to St Mary's Park, Cloone yesterday where the crowd was about 80,000 smaller for the meeting of Leitrim and Offaly in Division 2.
This is a lovely, almost quaint ground set in a hollow surrounded by trees but Read On....
Congratulations to Annette Donnelly who was announced as Senior Club Player of the year. As everyone who plays with Annette knows she is a very deserving winner. Well done Annette.
There will be a very important meeting of Cloone Ladies GAA on Saturday night February 10th in the community centre. It is vital that all players attend. Players will be notified closer to the time to remind them.
