10K Road Race A Great Success


Taking place in extremely hot conditions in Cloone on Sunday last we were delighted when approxiately 200 rose to the challenge and competed our inaugural 10K race and 5K run.There were 117 participants in the 10K, 51 in the 5K and 11 families.

The results were 1st male was Paul Finnegan, Woodlands, Monaghan Town, Co Monaghan in 36:14, 2nd Donal Mulligan, Ardagh Village, Co Longford in 37:40, 3rd Dermot Washington, Rooskey, Co Roscommon in 40:54 and 1st male football jersey was Mark Solon, Cloone in 44:00.  1st female was Michelle McGee, Edenmore, Ballinamuck, Longford in 40:06, 2nd Veronica Reilly, Cloone in 45:06, 3rd Anne Byrne, Derryknockeran, Cloonloo, Boyle, Co Sligo in 45:49 and 1st female football jersey was Noreen Colreavy, Gortletteragh in 48:32.
